World Forum on the Future of Democracy
The World Forum on the Future of Democracy was the culminating event in the commemoration of America’s 400th Anniversary honoring Jamestown, Va., as America’s first permanent English settlement. The final conference in a 2007 series brought together international and national scholars on democracy, as well as leading government officials, political practitioners, and advocates and commentators who have played a role in democracy’s advance. The three-day event featured addresses, panel presentations, and discussion groups.
You can be a part of the historic World Forum. Through this site you can watch conference video and and discover what world leaders, scholars, and political thinkers envision as the future of democracy.
