Reports say Libyan leader Gadhafi is dead. Let's hope Libyan people can transition to democracy after 42 years of tyranny.

Of course I may be wrong, but based on historical trends I can see that Libya will reform into a radical Islamic government controlled by the increasingly powerful Muslim Brotherhood. But as I said, I could be, and hope to be wrong. Only time will tell.

I can't rejoice at news of the death of a person, but I am pleased that a tyrant is no longer in power and he will never again abuse his people. My sincere hope is that Libyans will be able to form a government that allows the nation to move forward to a democratic society.
