craigslist endows a chair of new media at UC Berkeley

Hey, we really believe in helping people figure out how media is evolving; any democracy needs good, honest info to survive and succeed.

More info is here but the basics are:UC Berkeley Chancellor Robert J. Birgeneau said the craigslist donation recognizes the Berkeley Center for New Media as a major research center where scholars and students “explore the powerful effect of new media on culture and think rigorously about how new media will continue to change our lives and perceptions.”
